Building Cleaning Work

Display area cleaning

Aswell as cleaning and restoring paving and Hardlandscaping for householders and domestic clients throughout the Yorkshire area we here at Cleanpave also specialise in commercial cleaning, especially the cleaning of display areas. We have cleaned display areas for a wide range of businesses from builders merchants to quarries in Leeds , Huddersfield, Wakefield, Bradford, Barnsley, Sheffield and even as far as Chesterfield and York. Display areas are what sells the product to the customer so should be be kept in top condition all year round, it makes no sense to have Indian Stone in 5 different colour schemes but all looking the same due to a covering of dirt and algae, so when we were contracted to clean the display areas for Mone Bros in Leeds, Bramhope we couldn’t wait to get started. After visiting the displays and assessing the best way to clean the various areas of Blockpaving, Yorkstone, flagging, Indian Stone, walling and Railway Sleepers we set about our task. We decided that as we were dealing with such large areas we would split the work into sections. We started by treating area 1 with TFR to loosen the dirt and help with the cleaning, then using our high pressure (3,000psi) rotary cleaner we cleaned the total area of paving and walls. Once we were satisfied a turbo lance was attached to our cleaner to clean all the edges and tricky areas, before swilling the whole area down with our adjustable pressure lance. This was repeated area after […]

Pattern Imprinted Concrete cleaning and resealing in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Here at Cleanpave we specialise in cleaning all types of hard landscaping and although Blockpaving is the type we deal with the majority of the time P.I.C or Pattern Imprinted Concrete comes in a close second. When first laid P.I.C looks stunning and will give any property real kerbside appeal, but like any type of hard landscaping open to our inclement weather it can over the years become dirty and begin to show signs of wear and tear. What the sales people who specialise in selling this type of surfacing fail to tell their customers is that it WILL need resealing every 2-4 years using a specialist acrylic sealant, focusing instead on the benefits of P.I.C such as weeds not being able to grow in the surface. Our expierience in cleaning and resealing P.I.C made us well prepared when we received a call from a gentleman in Netherton, Huddersfield  who complained about the “state” of his P.I.C driveway. We arranged to meet Mr Goodfellow next day for a site survey and assessment of the work that needed carrying out. It was agreed that the P.I.C driveway needed a thorough high pressure clean to remove all dirt and algae, it would then be left for a day to dry out properly before we applied the acrylic sealant, this process would once again give the driveway that just laid feel. Returning a few days later we quickly got to work. Firstly the driveway was sprayed with a mild detergent to help lift […]

Indoor Cleaning Project

During the Christmas period Cleanpave Yorkshire a rather unusual job. The difference that made this job unique was that it was carried out indoors as opposed to the usual Hardlandscape cleaning we specialise in. The job we carried out was on behalf of a large multinational packaging company and entailed cleaning around 5000 M2 of production shop floor. As the methods of cleaning used were very similar, the rotary cleaning cylinder was used to lift the dirt, oil and grime from the factory floor and our turbo lance was put to good use on any stubborn areas. The only real problem we encountered was were to dispose of the excess dirty water. You see when cleaning outside most Driveways, paths and Patios have a natural run off area to make sure have rain and melting snow doesn’t stand and cause puddling areas, most outside run offs go to an Aco drain, road drain or to an area of soil or gravel, perfect places for water to drain naturally as these type of areas can’t be found in most factories Cleanpave Yorkshire had to come up with a different solution. This problem was solved by the use of a large industrial wet and dry Vacuum cleaner. Working in a pair around 100 M2 of factory floor was cleaned at a time, as this was going on the Vacuum would shadow the cleaner and take away the heavily soiled water which was then safely disposed of into an outside drain. Although this […]
